Chocolate Orange Smoothie With Essential Oils

Ingredients

  • cup almond or cashew milk or water
  • cup frozen okra
  • mandarin orange peeled
  • tablespoons raw cacao powder
  • scoop collagen
  • tablespoon raw honey
  • drops orange essential oil
  • 1 cup of ice
  • scoop plant protein powder or plain, grass-fed, non-denatured whey protein concentrate
  • teaspoon– 1 tablespoon MCT Oil optional
  • extra orange slices or cacao nibs for garnish (optional)

Makes 1 24-ounce serving or divide in half for 2 kid-sized servings.

Instructions

  1. Into a high-powered blender, combine all the ingredients EXCEPT the protein powder of choice and garnishes.
  2. Blend on high, until smooth — about 50 seconds.
  3. Add the scoop of protein powder and blend again for 45 to 50 seconds.
  4. Pour into a large glass and garnish with extra mandarin orange slices and/or cacao nibs for a pleasant crunch. Enjoy!

Recipe Notes

Makes 1 24-ounce serving, or divide in half for 2 kid-sized servings.
